Theadore (Theo)
Theo and his sister Abby were feral kittens born in Australia, in front of my parents house in 2008. We had them and their mom (Mama) spayed and neutered and slowly worked on getting them used to human handling. Theo and Abby both moved with me to San Diego in 2014. Theo is a very sweet but shy kitty, without a mean bone in his body. He loves scratches on his head, chin and rump. One of his favorite pass times in laying on his window ledge soaking up the sunshine and clawing up the furriest rug in the house.
McFly
This beautiful little guy came to me in 2015. His owners wanted him euthanized because they could not afford to have his broken leg treated. After a few weeks in a tape splint, he was fully recovered, He continues to bring joy to our home each and every day, with his melodic trilling vocals and playful antics.
Niunia
Niunia was gifted to me for my 17th Birthday, He lives with my parents in Australia. His favorite treats are Gravelia flowers. He says his name and loves to whistle. I miss him dearly, but am grateful for technology and the ability to FaceTime with him.
Bear (Oso)
4/20/2008-2021
Oso was only 3 weeks old when we rescued him. He was a smart but also goofy, loving fur ball. He liked to help carry grocery bags into the home and deflated many a soccer ball. He was terrified of fireworks and thunder storms, during which he would hide in the bathtub. He looked forward to Easter egg hunts, and was very good at finding and opening all the eggs before his brother Lucan could get to them. Unfortunately, Bear got a nasty cancer called Anal Sac Adenorcarcinoma, and it metastasized very quickly to his lymph nodes and later to his lungs and spine. We tried all we could to control it for over 2 years, but eventually it was evident that his body could not longer hold up and we had to make the decision to say goodbye to our beloved boy.

Chencho
2015-2022
Chencho came to me with a broken wing and a broken leg. His owners could not afford treatment and wanted him euthanized. I stabilized his fractures and took him home with me. He was the sweetest bird I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Despite his tiny size, he had a HUGE personality. He loved to chat, and could say many different words,. He would always try to get my attention as I approached him and would jump all over my arms every time I was cleaning his cage or feeding him.... Unfortunately, he had an aggressive tumor of the kidneys (renal adenocarcinoma) for which there was no treatment. He is missed dearly.

Lucan
07/23/06-01/11/21
Lucan was my heart dog. My husband and I rescued him from the San Clemente Animal Shelter when he was 3 months old. He has travelled with me to Australia and back to San Diego. He was my closest friend through good times as bad as well as through major milestones in my life. Interior Architecture to Veterinary Medicine, Marriage, an Internship, Pregnancy and my first child. He was my shadow! He was always by my side. Words cannot explain how special our bond truly was or how amazing he was! He loved to sing along to his Birthday song every year and looked forward to his birthday cake and gifts (he would rip out the tissue paper from the gift bags). It was beneath him to play chase, but he loved to destroy plush dog toys within seconds of getting them. However, he would not touch any stuffed animals that were not his. He was so smart! He enjoyed car rides, long walks and he especially. loved 'scratches'on the back of his neck (he would sit in front of people he just met with his back to them for said 'scratches'.
Lucan had many medical issues from a young age (Chronic Bronchitis, Corneal Dystrophy) and in later life developed cancer (Pulmonary Carcinoma, Hepatic Adenoma), a seizure disorder and hindlimb paralysis.

Abigail (Abby)
04/15/2008-01/03/2021
Abby was Theo's biological sister. She was born in Australia in front of my parents house.. She had a very strong bond with her brother and was the more outgoing one of the pair. She liked chasing cat wands and perching on the highest level of her cat tree. Unfortunately, when Abby was 11 years old she developed a disease called Hyperthyroidism. Within a year of the diagnosis her kidneys and heart started to fail.. The three conditions were very difficult to manage concurrently and after 7 months of treatment her heart was giving up completely. We helped her transition at home, with her brother by her side.

Mama
Mama was the Abby and Theo's mom. She was a feral cat, who lived the majority of her. life in-front of my parent's house in Sydney, Australia. Over the years she warmed up to our family and would allow us to pet her. However, she was never brave enough to venture into the home. In 2021, my parents found her barely responsive in the spot she liked to hang out. She had started to lose her vision for the year or two leading up to this event. We suspect that she ate something toxic, after a long night in the emergency room her body gave up.
Misio
01/07/2004 - 2020
Misio was my 'family' dog in Sydney Australia. He was great friends with Lucan and loved to trim Lucan's whiskers for him with his teeth (hahaha). He frequently organized his toys into categories, grouping all the rubber toys together and the plush toys separately. Being a Dachshund X Jack Russel Terrier he was extremely energetic, running loops around the house and backyard into his senior years. He found it very. difficult to sit in one place. longer than a a couple of minutes. He lived a long healthy life.

Kama
1990 - 2004
Kama came to my childhood home in Sydney Australia, when I was 10 years. old. She had escaped her previous family's property after. a terrible hail storm. She had a bloody eye from being hit by one of the icy balls, but was otherwise fine. The other family did not want to keep her, so my family adopted her. She is the dog I grew up with. She had. the sweetest nature of any dog I know.
